The boating (canoe / kayak) section of the Ski 2 Sea starts in City Park (Kelowna). The course runs along the north side of the bridge and continues up along the west shoreline of Okanagan Lake.
The course is well marked with boats displaying orange or bright coloured flags to guide the participants along.
It is a circle (reverse) route.
In the event of strong north winds on the lake the course will be moved to the south side of bridge and follow a reverse version of the route similar to the north side (along the south side of the bridge and west side of the lake and back).
In the event of extraordinary winds or weather the boating section may be cancelled. Participants will be advised the day of the event.
